Fri, 20th Nov, 2015 New Family Businesses Created
Like Father like Daughters !!!!
Our daughters, Lucy and Zoë grew up with and played a big part in the success of our high quality Bricknell Holstein herd and witnessed the set-up and subsequent growth of Showtime to where it stands today. This has given them both an appetite to create and own a business of their own.
Lucy's business started three years ago and is named Paradise Potions, see her story below. Follow our latest news for the beginning of Zoë's new enterprise - www.littlefarmingfolk.co.uk
Welcome To Paradise Potions
Here you will find a range of natural skincare and haircare products including butters, balms, lotions and potions, all lovingly handmade in East Yorkshire, using natural ingredients, organic where possible.
I hope you enjoy using them as much as I love making them!
Paradise Potions began with me searching for natural local skincare products when pregnant. Being pregnant made me question what I put in and on my body. I tried to eat and use only natural and organic produce. This lead me to making my own products, which became known as my "potions". They developed from gifts and a hobby to a range of natural skin care and bath products. It is important to me to be as environmentally friendly, sustainable and natural as possible.
I try to use organic ingredients wherever possible and keep my recipes simple, using natural butters, oils and essential oils with no artificial fragrances, preservatives or colouring.
I make all my potions at our farm in East Yorkshire. The name Paradise comes from a small wood on the farm called Paradise Wood.
I use aluminium or glass packaging because it is infinitely recyclable. I would urge you to re-use or recycle yours please.
